The GESTUS Project was presented at the European Sport Congress (EUSC) 2025 in Lille on November 4–5, where researchers, organizations, and policymakers gathered to explore innovation in sport, health, and education.
Project presentation
Representing the project, Guglielmo Formichella, Technical Field Advisor for GESTUS, introduced the project’s mission: developing a wearable IMU/GNSS solution capable of accurately tracking human movement in real environments.
His presentation highlighted the importance of accurately observing and understanding human movement, a key step toward improving training, rehabilitation, and overall performance monitoring.

Recognition and Interest Across Europe
GESTUS captured strong interest at the European Sport Congress, with positive feedback from researchers and practitioners from Ireland, Serbia, Spain, and Italy. Meanwhile, many professionals highlighted GESTUS’s potential to bridge communication gaps between doctors, physiotherapists, and athletic trainers, underscoring its strong market potential.
The presentation at EUSC2025 marked an important milestone for GESTUS, reinforcing its mission to advance sports and healthcare technology through accurate, wearable motion tracking.
The project continues to build partnerships and share its progress across Europe, working toward a future where data-driven accuracy empowers professionals to make better decisions for performance and well-being.
